BUSHWAACKING

BUSHWAACKING a world first

BUSHWAACKING exploded into world, premiering at the Infecting The City public space arts festival in March 2014.

A bold and sassy hybrid of genderbending American urban dance "Voguing" & "Waacking" and the sexy swag of South African Urban Jives

BUSHWAACKING invaded the stairs of the Iziko South African National Gallery with ferocious fierceness.

Dubbed THE HOMECOMING BALL: BUSHWAACKING is the invention and creation of Cape Town's First Lady of Live Drag ODIDIVA working with choreographer Nkosinathi "NATTY" Sangweni.

"MYSOGNY = HOMOPHOBIA" states ODIDIVA in black catsuit with deep slits running from thigh to ankle, wrapped in an avanta garde collared African Print cape as she repatriates dance moves from Western Pop Culture declaring South Africa as the only African Country

"Where you can love who'm ever you wanna love"

Supported by a group of freshfaced dancers who seemed to have stepped off straight from the townships of Cape Town to BUSHWAACK with sneering street attitude and precision.

Now a music video of BUSHWAACKING is currently in production, directed by prolific and multi-award winning British Filmaker Sven Harding.

BUSHWAACKING is about to go global!
